Budget-It is an application dedicated to the management of budget commitments. Budget-It facilitates budget management between Concur Request and SAP Funds Management (FM) through the automation of 3 key features:

1. Real-time budget control
2. Creation of commitments (with management of modifications/cancellations)
3. Disengagement and liquidation of requests

Real-time budget controlling is based on the latest SAP Concur technology for event-driven architecture. As soon as a request is submitted, Budget-It checks the available budget in SAP Funds Management (SAP FM), and the request continues the approval flow or is rejected automatically.

Commitments are automatically created in SAP ERP based on the forecasted expenses entered in Concur Request. The commitment number is visible in the SAP Concur solution. Modifications or cancellations of a request are also managed.

After the trip, commitments are released when the request is settled in Concur Expense.

Main benefits:

• Budgetary control before submission of the request to the approvers (a second check after approval is possible)
• Full visibility on control monitoring (validations and failures are listed in the SAP Concur audit and in comments)
• Use of the SAP standard (SAP ICS add-on) for request liquidation and accounting entries.
